This furniture or wall covering is made of cherry wood that was harvested on the site where the new Qurios holiday park has now been built. The old holiday park with brick houses from the early 1970s was located in a wooded area. Over the years it had become completely overgrown and the forest had to be thinned out for the construction of the new cottages.
In collaboration with Qurios, RH Interieurs and Snoek Puur Groen (responsible for the site layout), a plan was drawn up at the end of 2019 to give approximately 80% of the felled wood a second life as furniture for the interiors. The cherry wood has been used in the wall coverings and tables of the restaurant and in some of the cottages.
